Gerry Baptist is a multi-talented artist and printmaker with a wealth of experience behind him and a great sense of humour to boot. See Gerry’s woodcut portfolio here.
Gerry says: “The world is filled with dreamers and chancers, makers and fakers, our needs and desires seem to have been imposed upon us making it almost impossible to escape the merry-go-round. While we try to grope around trying to make a meaning out of this unsettling comedy, life moves inevitably on.
I spent some years as an art director in advertising working in England and Germany and was a founder member of the advertising agency Yellowhammer.
My work includes paintings, digital prints as well as etchings and woodcuts.
I’m a member of The Royal Society of Painter Printmakers and exhibit regularly at their shows at Bankside Gallery, which is near Tate Modern as well as in other galleries.
Work on this page includes digital prints fromThe Salome Story which comments on the celebrity culture and digital prints from The Waste Makers and from The Rake’s Progress.”
