As a former Advertising Agency Creative Director, and Award Winning commercial illustrator for more than 30 years, Bill Garland has worked in nearly every facet of the Art and Advertising world.
 
Originally a Ford Motor company scholar, he used his technical skills to enhance his command of a wide range of artistic styles. Working primarily in the entertainment industry, Bill has created the main images on countless projects for every major Hollywood studio and television network.
 
He is the recipient of multiple awards including the prestigious 'Key Art' award for his illustration for Batman, and has painted primary poster images for a variety of film genres from Sci-Fi classics like Mad Max to comedies such as Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life and Brazil.
 
Beyond Hollywood, Bill has created artwork for corporate clients including Coca Cola, The National Football League and K2 Skiis.
 
Outside the commercial world, Bill also works as a portrait artist, completing many corporate and private commissions. He is also an accomplished “Plein Air” Painter, and a First Place Exhibition Winner. Bill lives and works from his home/studio on the Pacific Ocean in Malibu California. He is happily married with a son.
